To be able to identify certain statistics you have to make sure that the information you have is right.

Region is a part of an area or could also be part of a country. Formal Region is an area inhabited by people who have one or more characteristics in common. Functional Region are made up of a central place and surrounding areas affected by it. Vernacular Region is the sense of place that is revealed in ordinary people's language. There are many different types Regions and they could be labeled differently like by physical factors.
