1. The Fertile crescent is a crescent-shaped region in the Middle East. Mesopotamia is a historical region of Western Asia situated within the Tigris–Euphrates river system and in the northern part of the Fertile Crescent. A City-state is a city that with its surrounding territory forms an independent state. Dynasty is a line of hereditary rulers of a country. Cultural Diffusion is the spreading out of culture, culture traits, or a cultural pattern from a central point. Polytheism is the belief in or worship of more than one god. Empire is an extensive group of states or countries under a single supreme authority, formerly especially an emperor or empress. Hammurabi was the sixth king of the First Babylonian dynasty of the Amorite tribe reigning from c. 1792 BC to c. 1750 BC.
3. The three environmental challenges to the Sumerians were, one unpredictable flooding combined with a period of or little of no rain. Two the land becomes a desert without water with no natural resources because they were limited. Three the building materials were also very scarce so it was hard to build houses and find shelter.
