Western Civ first Class

First Day of Class


       Today was was my first day of Western Civilization. Mr. Schick introduced himself, we got assigned seats, and we talked about how everyday when we walk in that are phones go into the pocket and we start the class with a pray everyday. We have textbooks that we don't take home. We also have blog post every-night that are due before 12 am which are about what we learned about or took notes about in class. But if you are absent in class you have to post a blog stating that you weren't in class and the reason why. Mr. Schick also introduced us and talked about how he had a flipped classroom which is that we read or take notes in class and we do not have to do that home so we basically are able to get started on our homework or even finished so we don't have to take the time to do It at home.

Mason Freburger 1/24/20 From Prehistory To Civilization 200,000 years ago a human species emerged in equatorial (central) Africa.  Earliest prehistoric age is the Paleolithic age also known as the (Old Stone Age ) Neolithic age is also called ( New Stone Age) Neo means new.  The difference between the Neolithic Age and the Paleolithic Age is that in the Neolithic Age the people learned how to plant, mine, harvest, make advanced tools, and hunt. In the Paleolithic Age the people did not know how to make or harvest anything.  Agricultural Revolution was also known as the Neolithic Revolution. The population increased so that meant that the surplus on food was high and their was more people that could go and gather food.  Men usually did the dirty work like hunting. Mason Freburger  3/25/20 Philip II - Philip II was known as Philip II of Spain because he was the King of Spain. He was born in May 21, 1527. He died in September 13, 1598. King Philip II was the King of the Spaniards from 1556–1598 and King of the Portuguese as Philip I from 1580–1598. Philip II was remembered for his success and failures. His Successes were that his army beat Ottomans so they were defeated in 1571.
