Gods and Goddesses 

Facts: 


  • Poseiden was the god of the sea, rivers, flood, and earthquakes. 
  • Poseiden was the brother of Zeus. 
  • Aphrodite was the goddess of love. 
  • Dionysus god of wine. 
  • Dionysus was son of Zeus and of Semele who was a human princess.
  • Apollo god of music and arts. 
  • Demeter goddess of grain and also was Zeus sister. 
  • Romans had there own set of gods and goddesses just like the Greeks did.
  • Anchises is a mortal who fathered a baby from a inmortal.
Zeus: 
  • Zeus was ruler of heaven and earth. 
  • Zeus was the god of the sky, weather, thunder, lightning, law, order, and justice.
  • He was known to hurl thunder bolts when he got mad.
Athena:
  • Athena was the goddess of warfare and peace.
  • Athena was born out of Zeus's head.
  • When she was born she was fully grown and armored.
  • She was the patron of Athens the city was named after her.
