How did Alexander the Great get his horse Bucephalus?-

Alexander the Great was a King of the Ancient Greek Kingdom of Macedon and a member of the Argead dynasty. He took over for his father Philip II's throne at the age of 20. He was born around July 20 356 B.C in Pella. He died June 323 BC in Babylon. Alexander had a horse as his best friend who was called Bucephalus.

Alexander the Great wanted the strongest, Fastest, best looking, and most famous horse in History. Alexander couldn't buy him because the price was three times the amount of a normal horses price. So for Alexander to get the horse his father challenged him and said he would pay for the horse if Alexander were unable to tame him. So Alexander walked toward the horse calmly. But then he had realized the horse was afraid of his own shadow. So Alexander turned Bucephalus toward the sun so his shadow was behind him Alexander mounted him and rode of off with the horse Bucephalus.

Bucephalus and Alexander had such a good relationship that only Alexander could ride him. Alexander rode him into every battle starting from the conquest of the Greek city-states and Thebes through Gaugamela and into India. Bucephalus was kidnapped soon after. Alexander said he would kill everyone and destroy everything if his horse wasn't returned. The horse was returned and the kidnapper begged for mercy.

  1. It seems like quite a stretch to write five paragraphs about Alexander and his horse. Also, you haven't really outlined, paragraph by paragraph, what your approach is going to be. Frankly, it doesn't look like you have prepped this much so far. Hopefully the finished essay will be stronger than what you have here.
