Mason Freburger 1/24/20 From Prehistory To Civilization 200,000 years ago a human species emerged in equatorial (central) Africa.  Earliest prehistoric age is the Paleolithic age also known as the (Old Stone Age ) Neolithic age is also called ( New Stone Age) Neo means new.  The difference between the Neolithic Age and the Paleolithic Age is that in the Neolithic Age the people learned how to plant, mine, harvest, make advanced tools, and hunt. In the Paleolithic Age the people did not know how to make or harvest anything.  Agricultural Revolution was also known as the Neolithic Revolution. The population increased so that meant that the surplus on food was high and their was more people that could go and gather food.  Men usually did the dirty work like hunting. Mesopotamia   is a historical region of Western Asia situated within the Tigris–Euphrates river system and in the northern part of the Fertile Crescent. Western Civ first Class

Mason Freburger 1/22/20 First Day of Class        Today was was my first day of Western Civilization. Mr. Schick introduced himself, we got assigned seats, and we talked about how everyday when we walk in that are phones go into the pocket and we start the class with a pray everyday. We have textbooks that we don't take home. We also have blog post every-night that are due before 12 am which are about what we learned  about or took notes about in class. But if you are absent in class you have to post a blog stating that you  weren't  in class and the reason why. Mr. Schick also introduced us and talked about how he had a flipped classroom which is that we read or take notes in class and we do not have to do that home so we basically are able to get started on our homework or even  finished  so we don't have to take the time to do It at home. 
Mason Freburger 1/13/20 God Grew Tired of Us 1. How many people lost their lives from the civil war in Sudan?  Two million people lost their lives from the civil war. 2. Who are the Lost Boys? The Lost Boys are this group of  20,000  boys  of the Nuer and Dinka ethnic groups.  These boys where  displaced into this bad area where many were killed.  3. What two things started the civil war in Sudan? Two things that started the Civil War in Sudan was that it got sparked when the military regime tried to impose sharia law as part of its overall policy to all of Sudan. 4. Who was fighting in the war?  North and South Sudan. 5. Mason Freburger  1/8/20  Forced Migration          Forced Migration is  a general term that refers to the movements of refugees and internally displaced people. IDP is a i nternally displaced person is someone who is forced to flee his or her home but who remains within his or her country's borders.  Asylum Seeker is  a person who has left their home country as a political refugee and is seeking asylum in another. A Refugee is  a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster. Historical examples of forced  migrations is Drought, Hunger, Flooding, Earthquakes, War, and Economic Circumstances. There was also a system called slave trade and that is when people were dragged out of there home and taken to ships to work.The current Syrian refugee crisis is that five million  people  just left to go migrate.
