From Prehistory To Civilization


  • 200,000 years ago a human species emerged in equatorial (central) Africa. 
  • Earliest prehistoric age is the Paleolithic age also known as the (Old Stone Age )
  • Neolithic age is also called ( New Stone Age)
  • Neo means new. 
  • The difference between the Neolithic Age and the Paleolithic Age is that in the Neolithic Age the people learned how to plant, mine, harvest, make advanced tools, and hunt. In the Paleolithic Age the people did not know how to make or harvest anything. 
  • Agricultural Revolution was also known as the Neolithic Revolution.
  • The population increased so that meant that the surplus on food was high and their was more people that could go and gather food. 
  • Men usually did the dirty work like hunting.
  • Women breast feed the babies and cleaned also known as domestic duties.
  • On the Hierarchies it appears that men are higher than women in the rankings. 
  • Villagers were polytheists which means that they worship multiple Gods like nature gods, half human and half animal gods, and just human gods.
